Laura’s necklaces

Laura’s necklaces

Back in July, I blogged about the idea of the day. Which was to make necklaces with tiny Crochet Clothed Stones after my friends 5 year old daughter asked me if that was what I did with all my Crochet Clothed Stones.

If you want to read that blog post, you can do that here.

I made these two tiny clothed stones and decided right away that I would give them to her for her birthday.

My daughter does a lot of crafts, and she was willing to let me use her beads.

I made one with blue beads because we found the stones on the beach, and blue reminds me of the ocean.

For the bigger stone, I was able to do her name in beads. I was rather happy with myself for thinking of that 😅

The “chain” was pretty basic. Did ch 3 and 1 dc in the 1st ch. Repeat until I felt it was long enough. Did half of the length, then sl st in the stone, and did the other half. For the loop, I did ch 12, which was a good length for the pearls I used, then sl st in the 1st ch. Weave in the ends, and it’s ready.

The birthday girl was really happy with her necklaces. I don’t know if she’ll use them often. They’re not heavy, but they might feel heavy if you wear them for a while.

The photo of her is published with the permission of her parents ❤️

Until next time 👌
