My friend Tinna just published a pattern. It’s an old pattern she published in Icelandic back in 2013. Now she has translated it to English and upgraded it and published in her Ravelry store.
When I saw her post on Instagram I was happily reminded of the Stúfur beanies I made some years ago.
I went looking for pictures and found a few. I have a lot of great memories with the kids while they were wearing the beanies. The photos aren’t as great 😅 they are old so the quality isn’t that great.

In 2014 I made three hats. For my son Móri and niece Aþena who were almost 3 years old and for my daugther Maía who just turned 1.

In 2016 I made two more hats. This time just for Móri who was almost 5 years old at the time and Maía who just turned 3.
I can’t tell you what yarn I used or how much or what my gauge was. But I can tell you that these hats turned out great and the kids used them so much. They fit the head so well and the shape of them is very wearable.
If you are planning on making Santa hats I highly recommend you give this pattern a try 🎅

Until next time 😊
