This weekend I was visiting my friend Gyða and her almost 6 year old daughter Laura. We were planning on taking a walk together, and I asked Laura if she wanted to go to the park or to the stone beach. She said she would rather go to the beach cause she loved the stones. I told her I too love the stones there.

She told me she like throwing stones into the ocean. I told her that I like crocheting around stones and showed her this picture of my stones.
She asked me ‘do you make necklaces with them?’ And that question unlocked a new possible obsession in my head 😂 I told her ‘no these are too big for that – but I could make a necklace with smaller stones’.

We went to the stone beach and found some cute stones. I collected small stones for necklaces. Laura collected stones to paint – and also to throw into the ocean. And Gyða collected stones to carve runes into.

When I got home, I started crocheting right away. A while back, I ordered some Scheepjes Candy Floss yarn to try out. I added one pack to the order when I was ordering yarn for the store. I haven’t used it much, but I hoped it would be perfect for this. And it didn’t disappoint 👌

Made two stones. And now I’m thinking about how I’m going to crochet them into a necklace. And then I’m going to surprise Laura with them as a gift ❤️
I’m also looking around online to see where I can buy (and get shipped to Iceland) more colors of Scheepjes Candy Floss. I could always order them through my store, BUT then I have to buy them in packs of 5, and even though I love owning lots of yarn, I really don’t need 5 balls in each color 😂
Until next time
😊😊😊
